When asked about her inspirations, Manuela attributes her career trajectory to the solid foundation laid by her parents. Their entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to excellence have been guiding lights throughout her professional journey. Looking ahead, Manuela envisions Avion as a global frontrunner in freight forwarding, positioning the company among the top 10 players worldwide within the next five years.
Throughout her career, Manuela has encountered and overcome various challenges, with gender equality standing out as a particularly tough hurdle. When asked for advice on this matter, Manuela shares, “Having faced and conquered numerous obstacles in the business world, particularly related to gender equality, I’ve learned the importance of education, confidence, and advocacy. Together, through our collective efforts, we can drive progress and foster a more inclusive and equitable business environment for everyone.”
Outside of work, Manuela finds solace in spending quality time with her family, particularly enjoying weekends by the seaside aboard a boat. Her creative flair is evident in her hobby of crafting furnishings for rooms, showcasing her diverse interests and talents.

Corti Foundation was founded in 1993, but the story of Piero Corti and his wife, Lucille Teasdale, first started in 1959 as a small missionary hospital was built in northern Uganda, Equatorial Africa. The foundation’s focus on healthcare, education, and community development aligns seamlessly with Manuela’s values, further strengthening Avion’s reputation as a socially responsible corporate entity.
Manuela states: “The Avion Company and the Corti Foundation have a long relationship of friendship and professional collaboration. We really have trust in this non-profit project, and we are happy to support Dominique Corti, Piero and Lucille’s daughter, born right in that hospital that is now a reliable and indispensable facility for the people in northern Uganda.
