Information Regarding Strike in LAX

OCU workers at APM Terminal in Long Beach have been on strike since Tuesday, November 27. The union arbitrator has deemed the strike non-bonafide and ordered OCU employees back to work. The order is being ignored and union workers in all terminals have gone on strike. Additonally the ILWU will not cross any picket line causing all ports in Long Beach and Los Angeles to shut down. Hopefully a resolution will be worked out within the next 24-48 hours.

Should the strike continue past that time both import and export services will be severely interrupted. We are monitoring the situation closely to ensure we are ready to re-route cargo as required. Delays and increased costs for moving to an alternate port are expected. The contingencies being planned are subject to the underlying carrier's service and availability. More information will follow as the situations develops.
